One of my latest performances (at least the ones I remember to record) from Some Thing’s Pride show on June 24 at the Stud. It’s to Karen O’s “All Is Love” from Where The Wild Things Are (which I loved, don’t hate). I really wanted to do something sweet and about queer love and connection and family and you know. Enjoy:
Thanks to my chorus of kids: Marc, Maziar, Alex, Jerry Lee, Devon, Jesse, Ivan, Bobby, Matt, Ryan, David, Oscar (and am I forgetting anyone, sorry!). And thanks to Michael for taping! Also, I messed up at one point, but you totally can’t even tell.
A Farewell to Frameline

Yesterday was my last day working for Frameline, which left me with a heavy heart. It’s a job I’ve loved over the past three years, but it’s time for new challenges and a change of scenery!
I once was given an award by a staff member for “Best use of the Frameline brand to promote herself,” so I had to live up to that one last time, and created this video to so “so long” (never “goodbye”) to my family there:
But trust: I’ll still be kicking it around the festival!
PS: Apologies that the video is a little squished — I can’t figure out the right compression specs for this mother!
Update: my video got reposted on Queerty (thanks!) and the video has reached more than 2000 views, which equals more than my little brother’s rap video so I am happy.

OMG, I’ve been SO bad about updating my blog lately. Sorry! I’ve been a very very very busy busy busy girl! I still don’t have time, but I wanted to post these two great videos, which both touch on issues (I hate that word) that I deeply care about:

Eternal gratitude to Ed and Ryan for being adorable gay sailors (and kind of last minute too). Everlasting thanks to Des, Jae, and Philip for lending their nautical wear. And appreciations forever to Jerry Lee for taking video (as well as to Maura for taking the video Ryan posted on Facebook, which I don’t know how to embed – but it’s basically the same)!
SOME THING was so fun and I’m so excited to have a new weekly AND weekend show to look forward to.
